Quillin also defended his manager, Al Haymon, in the wake of a decision that prevents the boxer from fighting under the banner of Roc Nation, which is owned by Shawn Carter AKA Jay-Z.

Jay-Z is married to music diva Beyonce, who was once promoted by Haymon and has been in involved in legal battles with the man who may be the most powerful figure in boxing
Speculated as much... but that's a personal issue yea? He cost his fighter money on a personal beef. What happens this week with the Garcia/Wilder purses?

Might not affect Danny as much... but Wilder might lose out on a shot if he does it again

Quillin is a good example of why boxers are perceived to be at the bottom of Boxing's totem pole. They put their careers in someone else's hands and it never seems like they make a decision by/for themselves. He's talking in riddles for the majority of the interview and sounds clueless. Will it be part of the "business plan" when you get KO'ed by Jacobs?

No more blatant example of a fighter being used as a pawn by Al Haymon than Peter Quillin. Hopefully for his sake he can recoup a good percentage of the purse he turned down going the way Haymon has directed.

I'd be slightly surprised at half. Half is doable....maybe a little more. 2/3 would really surprise me

This is going to be interesting if Roc Nation decides to keep bidding on match-ups that contain Haymon-affiliated fighters. Why wouldn't they bid on Garcia/Postol? Garcia is making Barclays his home and Postol is an undefeated opponent, a pretty easy match-up to sell. That match-up deserves the $1.9m more than Quillin/Korobov.

I've noticed Haymon fighters started incantating the mantra, "Boxing is business." But what do they mean when they say it?

Quillin only has a fanbase that consists of the dumbest people, himself and Larry.
