Hall of Fame trainer Nacho Beristain would not advise Juan Manuel Marquez (56-7-1, 40KOs) to travel over to the UK to challenge IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (33-0, 22KOs).
Marquez, a former four division world champion, wants to capture a fifth divisional title at 147-pounds but the pickings are slim. Marquez and Nacho are not interested in facing Manny Pacquiao for a fifth time. The Filipino boxer owns the WBO crown. And Floyd Mayweather Jr., who easily dominated Marquez in 2009, holds the WBC/WBA world titles. That only leaves Brook, with a new IBF title around his waist.
