The fight was not in question by the end. It wasn't close. Maidana got a moral victory because of how tough he made it. Unfortunately there are no moral scorecards. Freddie Roach even agrees that May weather won easily. Maidana won 4 rounds at best but he gave it his all and deserves a rematch.

I dont care wha anyone says. The Mayweather fans have been trying to sing a diferent tune to the fight since it ended. There were way to many swing rds for it not to be a 7-5 either way type if fight. Youcould easily argue Maidana won 8, 12 also. He definitely won 10. It wasnt just a first half fight.

But none of that matters now. The fight is 5 days away. Sing all the tunes you want. There is no hiding now.

no,i didn't mean it that way,a close fight is what i had it,and was agreeing with the poster to that effect,i'm sure you are an honest man too,sorry it was misconstrued. from a defensive standpoint,mayweather did do well,and if you like that kind of fight,i can see your point of view.I found the aggressive style of maidaina pleasing,and have seen it used by other fighters in the past,and have no issue in calling it effective...but to each his own,my friend.

Guess you missed the ESPN interview before the JMM fight. Kenny isn't a Floyd ball licker. I don't even think he likes Floyd. He just respects his skill and doesn't have a major issue with Floyd's resume. I know in Ret@rdville, that makes you a licker. But here on Earth, it simply makes you rational.

Floyd actually thinks the fight was close, he won't say this because of his massive ego but the proof is watching his reaction to the draw card in the Canelo fight and then watching his reaction to the draw card in the Maidana fight.

His reaction to the canelo card is one of shock and anger, his reaction to the maidana card is the opposite, he is calm, doesn't look surprised or angered, then for the next 2 cards he actually looked nervous to which way it went.

I usually watch Floyd's fights at the theater. I didn't even stick around for the decision because I thought Floyd had won comfortably. Maybe the different reactions were due to Floyd knowing that the way Chino fought makes fights appear closer than they are, especially when an underdog performs better than expected. I've said for awhile now that I thought Canelo was more effective against Floyd than Maidana was.
