Even for the first 6 rounds, Matthysse didn't "dominate" like you make it out to be. Some were swing rounds which could've gone to whoever. Garcia dictated the pace of the entire fight. Matthy never really had his way.

no but he was starting to take over. the 6th and beginning of the 7th you could tell matthysse had garcia figured out like when he figured out molina and then he went half-blind. garcia couldn't land a thing until that happened but yet people pretend that garcia is the better boxer lol, he barely beat a half blind guy and he needed help from a haymon ref.

Thing is, Matthysse can't box, period. Danny set the pace of the fight, and at the end of the day, Lucas couldn't compete, period.

Guys discredit Danny and says that he's mediocre and so on, but this is the same guy who outboxed Lucas, so what does that say about him (Lucas)?

Lucas only looks good against guys that he can pummel, and the second that he can't obliterate a fighter, his silly fans make up a million reasons why the guy that beat him, should give him a rematch.

Remember, this is the same guy (Lucas), who skipped the press tour, to "focus on training", but came into the fight, and performed poorly.

If you're a real Matthysse fan, then protest for him to fight a beatable guy, not a guy who clearly outboxed him already.

This is what I'm talking about, Lucas couldn't compete? You're really going to say that? He very clearly competed very well, and was in the fight late. He won the first half of the fight, or at least had it tied 3-3.

Stop making **** up to backlash against the Matthysse fans that annoy you. It's not necessary, acknowledging the fight was close and competitive doesn't take away from Garcia's victory.

Let's also NOT pretend as if Matthy didn't land his best shots against Garcia. I mean he knocked out his mouthpiece out his mouth clean! That shot would've floored anyone else. Garcia took it and didn't blink. Bottom line is Garcia controlled the fight. Matthysse was coming on strong for 1 1/2 rounds but Garcia closed his eye and that made it easier for Garcia to land a lot cleaner. He decisively beat him, it wasn't close. Garcia came out without a scratch and Matthy's eye looked pretty bad.

I was actually pretty disappointed by Matthysse's performance considering I picked him to win. No one seems to focus on that. It's all complaints about Garcia.
