Please provide some help to a casual boxing fan.
It wasn't a punch. Just some fluke sc**** as Matthysse was coming in. Video on YT.

Matt's should never been running his mouth and Garcia would not have to play him like this..

153 power punches, none hurt Garcia.

Dude landed over 150 power punches, and not one of them ever made Garcia flinch. Let that sink in.
garcia is a tough guy there is no doubt about that. He was clearly feeling the punches as he had to constantly hold and was pissing blood nonstop. This was against a guy with one eye as well. wouldn't you want to see a rematch with no fouling/good reffing? it sure beats fighting salka but for some reason people pretend that garcia won easily(not true) and it wasn't controversial(not true) without the knockdown that shouldn't have counted matthysse wins the fight so right there you have cause for a rematch. obviously more lowblows than bowe-golota would also be another cause. oh well salka salka salka

I do find it particularly amusing that your entire time on this forum has been dedicated to exalting the virtues of a Bernard Hopkins performance yet now you're vehemently complaining about clinching, headbutting and low blows

It's truly baffling to me that people not only ignore this but completely out right lie about reality when referring to it.

Ive never seen it with any other fight before. NEVER.

beating a half blind guy by 2 points and only because of a controversial knockdown is a clinic? not to mention getting away with more lowblows than mares and golota combined.

How do you figure without the knockdown, Matthysse wins the fight? That doesn't even really make sense. So you scored it a draw officially or what?

Matthysse was clearly winning that rd. It goes from 8-10 to 10-9/ Three pint swing. Matthysse wins.

well after 6 most people had it 3-3 as did I. 7,8,9, were clearly garcias, 10 was clearly matthysse, 12 was somewhat close but matthsse won it for me, and 11 was matthysse's best round but he got rabbit punched into the ropes and garcia was allowed to punch him when he was defenseless so he scored a knockdown. it would have been 6-6 on my card with point deduction lucas wins. if weeks was a competent ref he wouldn't let a defenseless guy who was clubbed in the back of the head take punches and he would have taken points for golota blows much earlier. so it swung from 114-113 matthysse to 114-112 garcia.

Well, I've heard that back then...
But that particular "fluke" was caused by "something" -- glove, part of the glove during a punch of some sort (it wasn't a headbutt for sure)... I was asking about that particular punch, which I couldn't see on tapes... I supposed that some savvy boxing observers might enlighten me with this respect.
