If he were humble and not African-American, he would be beloved. Yep, I took it there.
I don't get the hate for Broner either. Yes he likes to talk , so freaking what. Its the fight business ,so its part of the game. At least the guy isnt just another fighter with no personality. He's entertaining , always comes to fight and willing to fight the best. What more do you want ?

I think the fight with Taylor was an aberration and by design because hardly any of Broner's past opponents in the lower weight classes have ever backed him up or walked him down like that along the ropes. The only drawback I see in Adrien Broner; Like Mayweather is he simply doesn't throw nearly enough punches and this is where he can land in his trouble. As he become a more well rounded boxer I can expect him to learn to throw more punches and not allow his opponents to constantly beat him to the punch.

This bout was more like an experiment where is was adjusting to fight a different kind of style by boxing off the back foot. Historically Adrien is the one typically walking his much smaller opponents down and backing them up with size and power. However as he progresses to the higher weight classes to challenge opponents who are naturally larger and stronger than him, then obviously he is going to have to adjust and add a few more wrinkles to his skill set in order to compete.

Let's not kid ourselves, Matthysse would never be able to unleash those barrage of punches along the ropes that Taylor landed because Adrien is no fool. He is wiser now. He has learned his lesson. He knows full well the potential dangers of being a sitting duck along the ropes against one of the hardest punches in the fight game. Therefore, he simply wouldn't allow Lucas the opportunity to unload on him like that.

This fight made Algeiri look great. Now I can't wait for the Pac fight.
