Instead of serving up Blake Caparello or Rod Salka the two premium networks should consider putting on some of these flyweight matchups instead.

With the money HBO has they could scour the globe and put on nothing but the best fights. Promoters should have to compete and offer up something really special if they want to get airtime on that network.

there is this strange thing in boxing/life called favoritism. floyd beat genaro hernandez, angel manfredy, and justin juuko and he was p4p #2 and on hbo every fight. gonzalez has won 3 belts in 3 divisions, beat the #1 guy in 2 of them and beat estrada who's #2 right now...and he's p4p #9 and no where to be seen on tv.

Why do we have to mention Floyd period?? why?? he has 0 to do with this thread....

sorry i was just trying to think of someone who was babied his entire career with blatant favoritism and an easy path and he came to my mind. gonzalez should be televised because he's one of the best in boxing and his fights are entertaining but that's not really what boxing is about. its about making that money as easy as possible.

well unfortunately there are only so many spots in the spotlight and you constantly defend guys like broner, quillin, stevenson, etc...for making that easy money so no spots are available for real fighters like gonzalez. oh well at least those other guys who don't fight the best have money.
