In perhaps the upset of the day, things remained civil during an otherwise tense weigh-in as Adrien Broner and Emmanuel Taylor made weight for their Showtime-televised headliner Saturday evening at US Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The two fighters have traded harsh words all week, with Broner going so far as to attempt to choke Taylor during Thursday's presser. A brawl was predicted to break out during Friday's weigh-in, but both fighters behaved, simply exchnaging words while posing for the cameras after making weight.
Meeting the contracted weight limit was an issue the last time Broner fought in front of his hometown crowd. The former three-division champ had no such issues this time around, tipping the scales at the divisional limit of 140 lb.
