And what if khan lost (a very good possibility)??? Khan losing to brook would absolutely devastate him and ruin him forever (mentally and physically).

Khan is extremely scared to lose to his ultimate rival brook. So instead of fighting brook he hired a hitman to take brook out of the picture altogether. Just watch, brook is finished now. His mobility will be forever changed and I heard he got stabbed in the arm too.

Khan has some serious mental issues. It's bad enough that he talks himself up like he's still relevant, but now he goes and pulls off a hit job on brook.
