I said, take Floyd out of the equation because he is NOT interested in Manny AND Manny said that he wants to fight Floyd.

OK, now actually prove that those fighters you listed at 147 are that good? When I see those names, some are average and some say "potential" ...that's it! Meaning, they need to show more in their respective division.

My point was at least those you listed at 140 have better notable wins for their respective division .......

Marquez - Some KOed their opponents in their first fight and returned the favor with a lost by KO in their 2nd fight against each other ..... Last fight was 1 punch hitting Manny while Manny was tripping over Marquez's foot .......
Official record for Marquez: 1-2-1 (if judge didn't make a mistake 1-3)

You're the foo. And like a bunch of you haters,...can't read. He said if there's a "GOOD" fight ...sure.

PAC repeatedly gives up height, reach, and weight advantage to his opponent even against guys coming up from 140 lbs. To do that consistently, is remarkable.

He just beat Bradley who beat JMM . PAC will face anybody.

Fool doesn't realize that there aren't many PPV worthy fighters at 147 on either GBP/Haymon/Top Rank at the moment. Hot Cycle? Porter was a semi-hype job. And just got exposed. Thurman can be proven just the same until he beats a legit fighter. Any legit contender and titlist from 140-147 is viable for PAC.

The only attractive draws are Brook and Khan with their UK drawing power.(besides Floyd)

Danny Garcia, Crawford (if given at least 1 fight at 140 first) would be good fights.

For Floyd fans, only Floyd can jump out or retire or go on vacation when a division is hot ..... but "hot" is another word for "hype" in this case. So there is definite potential with some listed but actual proof? Not really.

So if Manny goes down to get a good fight, why not? Just like when Floyd left the 147 division that had Manny waiting for him. Did GrandPa complain? Nope!

Exactly. A bunch of the fighters he listed haven't done anything of note and have no fanbase.

Thurman, Guerrero, Devon? guys, he listed.
LOL...what have they done. What is their drawing power. This is prize fighting for $$$.

Maidana. Good fighter but he got Floyd after beating a career lightweight fighter in Broner. We also haven't even mentioned the roadblacks between Top Rank and Al Haymon.

More likely Crawford. Crawford said already that he's willing to move up to 140, Mikey Garcia at the moment has beef with Arum and he isn't even at 135 he fights at 130 if Iknow it right.
So I think if Pac beats Algieri than comes the JMM V or a Crawford fight for him. Danny Garcia is unlikely since Haymon won't allow it, and personally I don't believe in the new Pac-Floyd rumours.

IIRC, Pacquiao has weighed 147 for his last couple fights. Can he even make 140 any more?

I think the target is Danny Garcia, with follow-ups with Crawford and Garcia, when they are ready. When it seemed the cold war was going to end, because of Oscar's recent statements, the first opponent Freddie called for (to fight Manny) was NOT Mayweather, NOT Khan, but Danny Garcia. Oscar has been hinting about this fight for a while now, and I think that's why Danny fought Salka, and Manny is fighting Algeri. Salka and Algeri are stay busy fights to set up Pacquiao vs. Garcia:

"We're going to talk about ending the Cold War between Golden Boy and Top Rank. My objective is to make the big fights," said De La Hoya. "Golden Boy has fighters that can fight Top Rank fighters and who can make great fights. We want to make great, exciting fights that the people want to see, and that's what I want to talk to Bob about."

"You could have Danny Garcia versus Manny Pacquiao. What a fight that would be. That's what I want to talk to Bob about. Danny Garcia versus Manny Pacquiao? Come on," said De La Hoya.

"You would have the young, strong bull versus the not-so-young strong bull in Manny. Those are the types of fights and matches that I want to talk to Bob and see what we can come up with."

"That's correct. Oscar called me at the ballpark, and we arranged to have our talk. When I finish with the tour in New York, I'll be flying to Los Angeles," said Arum, 82, under whom De La Hoya turned professional after winning an Olympic gold medal in 1992.

"I'll be meeting with Oscar over the weekend. I have always had a fatherly relationship with Oscar. We went through a whole period of his life, and, of course, my life, together, and I have very warm feelings about him."

"I think that we can talk about Pacquiao and Garcia. That's a fight that might make a lot of sense," said Arum, who has spoken to Pacquiao and his advisor, Michael Koncz, about Garcia.

Oscar De La Hoya seems genuine in his desire to end boxing’s long-running ‘cold war.’ To do so, Oscar has been reaching out to Bob Arum to discuss potential future fights.
