Just saw on Skysports he was stabbed three times in the leg and once in the arm, he also needed a 'life saving operation' probably a blood transfusion based on them talking about his loss of blood.

Sounds worse than I originally thought.

Kell Brook required an operation to save his life after he was stabbed multiple times in Tenerife, reports Ron Lewis of The Times.

Fresh details of the attack are emerging, and Lewis reports the serious nature of Brook's plight, per Eurosport:

IBF welterweight champion Brook, 28, was stabbed three times in the leg and also sustained a cut on one arm in the assault on the early hours of Thursday morning, and surgeons in Santa Cruz carried out a "major operation that saved his life", according to family.

The Times reports that the attack took place in the apartment where Brook was staying at around 6am on Thursday, with the boxer staggering to a neighbouring apartment block where he managed to raise the alarm by flinging a chair against a window.

Having lost a huge amount of blood he was rushed to hospital in a critical condition, but is now stable after the operation, with the statement adding that, "Kell is awake and starting his recovery from this horrendous attack."
