dude, thats not special. Celebs do that all the time. Its either that or they come on the interview themselves and say they wont talk about such and such or Im only here to talk boxing. He's in a no win situation with the domestic violence stuff and plus it involves his kids an family so he's not going to want to talk about that, especially to a bunch of reporters where half of them dont like him anyways.

However, dont paint him like he says that about everything. As far as I know, that is the only thing. He got asked a ton of tough questions in his own gym the other day. They asked him about the Pac fight, gloves, Ariza, and everything a million times. What else do you want to hear asked or what else do you think he told them not to ask

Thank god your day job isn't the position of clairvoyant because you'd fail at it miserably. Because I posted a situation that may be brewing between these two camps leading up the final week before the fight you assume i'm a maidana fan...based on what exactly. I've been accused on this site of being a fan of everyone now...now it's absolutely official i'm a fan of every boxer on earth. There are people here who respect mayweather's ability but question aspects of his control over this contract as well. If you read this article In the link I post at the bottom. It talks about how REPORTERS are TOLD ahead of time. EXACTLY what things they CAN or CANNOT ask. And if they go beyond their boundaries, they WILL NOT be ALLOWED to interview Mayweather again. So everything you read and everything you hear reporters ask Mayweather is to make him sound positive. And as soon as you hear certain quotes or phrases that he always seems to say.

It's to let the Reporter know. "Change the subject, I don't like that question" ... for instance when you hear Mayweather say "LIKE I SAID BEFORE..." or "I'M NOT HERE TO TALK ABOUT THAT..." That means "after I finish what I'm saying, ASK A DIFFERENT QUESTION"...

If the reporters don't oblide by the guidelines or write positive things. They risk the chance of not being able to interview Mayweather again.. And interviewing Mayweather or Pacquiao is ALWAYS GOOD WORK and/or news for a reporter.

EXAMPLE: Remember when Mayweather went to jail. NO REPORTER WAS ALLOWED TO BRING UP "WHY HE WENT TO JAIL". They WERE NOT ALLOWED, TO REMIND THE PUBLIC WHY HE WAS IN JAIL. INSTEAD REPORTERS WERE ONLY ALLOWED TO TALK ABOUT "HOW BAD AND AWFUL MAYWEATHER WAS TREATED OR HOW BAD HIS HEALTH WAS BECOMING FOR HAVING BAD FOOD OR NO BOTTLED WATER IN PRISON.. HOW HARSH HIS CONDITIONS WERE IN JAIL. YET NOBODY SEEMED TO MENTION "UH IT'S CALLED JAIL" NOT "MGM RESORT" .. It wasn't even PRISON.. It was COUNTY JAIL.. ANYBODY CAN HANDLE COUNTY JAIL.. To stay on 'recent topics' and to give you a 'recent example'.. He was asked by a reporter... "In the first fight with Maidana. The first gloves were not approved. But the 2nd pair of MX gloves and even the Reyes gloves were APPROVED by the NSAC. So why didn't you let him fight with the gloves, the NSAC did approve?."

And Mayweather's answer was .. "I'm not here to talk about that. What happened already happened." And the reporter of course, moved on to another question.

If Floyd has a stance then he should make it clear why he has that stance. My only point was that the part where the poster said he tells reporters ahead of time not to ask certain questions. I just think that a ton of people do that but I only think he does it for things like family or domestic violence.

I dont think the Pac or Maidana gloves things are off limits (ahead of time) which is why they ask but I think he obviously doesnt want to always talk about it so he gives those responses. I dont think the reporters stop pressing him because he said something ahead of time. They stop because everyone knows Floyd for years. He's not a great speaker anyways and if he says the typical stuff then he's not going to change his response no matter how many times you ask him so they move on

So if Maidana wins he would be a champ at 154 despite never fighting at 154. Any other mainstream sport would have been laughed out of existance with a move like this.

According to George Lopez, Floyd was suppose to appear on his show and prior to appearing he was asked something regarding a fight with Pacquiao and Lopez said Floyd freaked out on the phone and canceled his appearance.

This is not a middleweight fight and the 154 pound belt should not be at stake. If Floyd does not want to fight at 154, he should vacate or be stripped. It is Leonard Ellerbe's job that say whatever will show Floyd that he is kissing his ass so he can stay on the payroll
