I don't mind catchweights either, they allow for interesting fights between elite fighters in different divisions.
I just find it somewhat interesting that when Pac was rocking the catchweights in 2009, people were losing their goddamn minds.Comment

Their boxer(s) started doing it. You can tell who are the true boxing fans and who are boxer fans in this site.Comment

Mayweather-Marquez - 144 lbs.
Mayweather-Canelo - 152 lbs.
Pacquaio-Cotto - 145 lbs.
Pacquiao-Margarito - 150 lbs.
Pacquiao-Marquez III - 144 lbs.
Pacquiao-Algieri - 144 lbs.
Cotto-Martinez - 159 lbs.
No one can call the other a coward for catchweights, so it's gone away.
I still hate them and believe it takes credit away from the victory, not entirely, but the victory is not as great as it can be at the full limit.Comment

Catchweights bother me when it's either of the 2 best fighters on the planet needing them. But since Marquez proved rather emphatically that Pacman is not the best fighter on the planet, that only leaves Floyd. Who needed/demanded a catchweight to fight Canelo. That's strange to me.Comment
