Why don't people get mad at catchweights anymore?

    Did something happen?

I mean, in 2009-2010, catchweights were a huge problem for a lot of people, particularly when (because?) they involved Manny Pacquaio.

People got awfully mad when he made Cotto fight at 145. They also got exceptionally when he made the JMM 3rd fight at 144. (Interestingly, this logic would mean Pac should have fought both Cotto at HIS best weight and JMM at HIS best weight).

I mean, Pac was using his position as the A-side to fight at the best weight that suited himself. He was the A-side. Cotto and JMM weren't forced to sign the contracts. Yet I remember people going ape****. Team Pacquaio were cheating the sport.

Anyway, now Manny P is fighting Algieri at 144.

    Why aren't people mad anymore?

Did something happen to make make people relaxed about catchweights?

How did people get over catchweights?

    Floyd Mayweather hates catchweights.

That reminds me of that glorious period when "Take The Test!" was another glorious catchphrase in the boxing world.

Whatever happened to "Take The Test"?

      I guess "OK, sure" happened?

I don't mind catchweight fights much. The only time I have a problem with them is if they are for a title. IMO if you can't fight at the division limit for a title then don't fight in that darn division

Because mayweather made it a standard, just like drug testing and now he is trying to do the same with glove selection.

People are forced to get used to things and after a while they are okay with it. I am not because I hate floyd, **** that bish.

So you're basically saying the fanboys on each side of the tard war basically got over their b*tching because their "man" contradicted their position on it?

You're basically admitting the hardened groupies on each flip-flopped based on whatever position now suited them?
