I like this fight. And as a supporter of Canelo, I enjoy seeing the high standards put on Canelo right now; it means people acknowledge that he is a great fighter. He's fighting Joshua Clottey after Trout, Mayweather, Angulo, Lara and is getting **** for it. If he fought Cotto, he'd be favored. If he fought anyone not named Mayweather or Golovkin he'd be favored. I think he would even be favored against Pacquiao. That's what you call a great fighter of HIS TIME.

Clottey is a tough, durable fighter and Canelo does not throw 1000+ punches, which is the performance people think of when they think of Clottey. He faced a guy who threw 1,200 punches and that just isn't Canelo's style. Canelo throws at most, 400-500 punches on average in 12 rounds fights. Clottey throws about the same, about 400 punches per 12 rounds.
