Not a bad fight to be honest. Clottey doesn't do well against fighters who will keep him in his shell but Canelo isn't an intensive fighter. It'd have been better if Clottey was more active in recent years, as there's the possibility that he's completely done at Championship level, but the potential is there.

I hear ya, but, clottey is a name that people recognize. And also he's a human punching bag which will make canelo look even more impressive to the casual fan. Terrible fight for me, but I get it from a marketing perspective.

That's what's wrong with boxing, top level guys fighting bums for tune ups (Garcia - Salka etc). Clottey hasn't been relevant for a while, but at least he was at some point.
