However Hopkins is old school. He moves constantly, judges distance immaculately, and gets you thinking before popping you with a lead right and smothering any potential counter. Yes, he fouls. Yes, he ain't "pretty" to watch, but from a 'sweet science' perspective, watching BHop fight is like watching a genius at work. Everything is calculated and planned. Kovalev has seen nothing like it - he's just not that experienced. That's not a knock of Kovalev, but he'll get in there and have to figure out how to pin Bernard down whilst eating solid shots.
Hopkins learnt his trade fighting the likes of Glen Johnson and Roy Jones Jr. Kovalev grew up on Cleverly and Agnew. If he loses, he'll just be a bit of a victim of the lack of depth in modern boxing. He is, however, an excellent fighter.
