I still consider Rigo to be boring, even if he has superb defensive skills and counter punching ability. The last fight versus Kokietgym doesn't change anything because it was a bogus sucker punch against a non-A class fighter. That doesn't prove he can be exciting against stiffer competition that knows he will take advantage of his opponents trying to show sportsmanship while not protecting themselves at all times. The only other decent competition Kokietgym ever faced with all those wins of his was Ponce De Leon who also knocked him out in the first round. De Leon was knocked out by Mares, Juan Man twice and Manuel Roman. It's very possible that if Rigo were to lock up a match with the top competition in his division he would go on to win the bulk of those but would he be exciting against Frampton, Santa Cruz, etc? Most likely not because he will be more aware of their potential to catch him if he doesn't go into his Cuban shell. I'm not trying to downplay his boxing skills which are top notch but personally I'm not a fan of his style, personality or level of intensity in the ring. Floyd has done enough to nullify excitement in the ring and turn the biggest events in boxing into stifling chess matches. The bulk of boxing fans don't want another defensive fighter to take the spotlight with arguably an even more defensive and less exciting style than Floyd. I think the big networks of HBO and Showtime have made it clear that unless Rigo becomes more aggressive he is destined to be on weak under cards and less anticipated match ups on ESPN FNF, Fox Sports Boxing, etc. I'd rather watch the more offensively-minded super bantam boxers fight each other all day than see Rigo dominate through winning by attrition. If Rigo does land a fight with a top 3 ranked fighter, I'm willing to bet there wouldn't be an early knockout or fireworks coming from Rigo. He'll play it safe and win by points.

In fact ill bet my account if it ever happens that he knocks him out with a left hook. Framps even does Rigo's full stretch feints.
Frampton is deadly with either hand. Not only that but he can box coming forward or back peddling. I don't understand how folks can see the special traits Rigo posses but overlook Frampton's assets entirely. Kid is a monster. Hopefully he wins but regardless of the outcome, I'm behind Carl %100.

This. Frampton has also shown he can fight different styles of fighters so I wonder how he'll approach Rigo, this is probably one of the fights I would most look forward to out of the fighters around today.
