You can't duck some one who already had a fight (Rubio) lined up.

No, Floyd is ducking GGG. I want to see Floyd v GGG. If BH can fight Kovalev I want FLoyd v GGG already. Not in a months time, not next week, I wanted it yesterday.

If you criticized Mayweather (rightly) because he didn't fight with the fighter who vote his poll, he fought instead the other guy instead (smatter of fact: he spat on his fans) then don't be a fanboy now and defend Froch. This is exactly the same thing. You can talk about Froch's reputation as a warrior who never ducks nobody, but if he chooses Degale instead of Golovkin or even JCC Jr, then yes he does it now. Don't use double standards!Last edited by HEND; 09-01-2014, 05:53 PM.

Froch won't be ducking Golovkin.
Golovkin is not even a super-middle never mind a mandatory.
More importantly Golovkin isn't a PPV fight.
The best option for Froch's next fight is/was Chavez Jr; Vegas fight that Froch wanted + PPV + winnable fight.
However, for whatever reason that doesnt seem to be able to get made.
Next biggest money fight is probably Degale.

Check out this interview to get Eddie Hearn's (Froch's promoter) perspective on this potential fight. Also, I do believe Loeffler and K2 have pursued this match-up, but it looks like Hearn is not interested for the time being.
Some telling quotes from the interview:
"If you want to be critical of Golovkin you can break down his opponents and show they're not absolute elite level. That's not Golovkin's fault because you have to pay an absolute fortune to get anyone to fight him."
"There is not 10 million in the pot to tempt the likes of Cotto or Chavez to fight him, which is the sum they'd want for that kind of fight. It's definitely a career-threatening fight."
"Yes, Froch is financially comfortable, but that doesn't mean he'll get in the ring for less than he deserves, and that is a horrible, dangerous fight."Last edited by RapidFire26; 09-01-2014, 07:10 PM.

If you make a poll for your fans, you don't choose opponent according to money and risk instead of the end of the poll... That's it. I wouldn't have problem with Froch fighting Degale, in fact I think it can be more competitive than the JCC Jr. VS Froch fight but in this situation he made a poll, the majority of his fans voted for GGG but it seems like he still doesn't care about it --> fraudness and lack of respect for his fans. I don't know why is this even a question? Or try to argue, why I'm not right in this.
Not Internet hipster dweebs who probably make several accounts or get all their nerd friends to click "Like" on the Golovkin picture. Most of the likes probably come from the rabid Golovkin internet fanbase who are desperate to see him in any kind of relevant fight.

And based on this logic every move like this is legit because the winner is surely just won because many of his fans made fake accounts... Lol. Based on that logic May pick Maidana over Khan is a legit and either not unclassy move because tons of British fanboys voted for Khan with fake accounts...
So If they think this way then don't make a poll because since nobody can verify that how many fake accs voted for the winner, the poll is totally senseless, or if they already made the poll, don't disregard that how the people voted on their poll what they made for the fans. Or it works like, when the same fighter wins the poll who against they want to fight then they say "You get what you want from me guys!" but if other guy wins the poll then OK to just disregard it and choose other opponent? What kind of treatment is this? I'm not a fan of Froch, neither May's but I would be pretty upset if my favourite boxer would do the same with his fans. This is an unfair, classless move and lack of respect to his fans.Last edited by HEND; 09-01-2014, 08:26 PM.

Jeez. Live in the real world. He put a few photos up on Facebook, that's it. It wasn't even a poll and Froch probably didn't even create it himself! LOL....
The fact is that his fans will pay the money to go and watch him fight James DeGale. The nerds who "liked" a Facebook picture probably wouldn't put any money into a Golovkin fight. Facebook likes are not the real world. Facebook likes are not a true reflection of public opinion.
