If Canelo wasn't getting May 2nd date, why was he beasting so bad to get Cotto to sign off on fighting him on May 9th??? The cinco de mayo date was taken by Pac and Floyd. So wouldn't it make sense to now fight in June??? And if it's in June, that has msg and the pr parade weekend written all over it. That's what Canelo was trying to avoid imo.

Agree 100%. Canelo was not trying to come to NYC to face Roach's Cotto.
