Canelo wanted no part of NY. Canelo and Oscar are the same guys, it's why they get along so well. Canelo actually thinks he's a younger version of Oscar and Oscar thinks Canelo is actually ATG status because he reminds him of himself when they were younger. For this reason they share the same hatred for Floyd and since neither one was able to beat him they only care about taking away the May 2nd date from Floyd.
Oscar, Canelo and his fans actually think that because they have this hatred for Floyd, as does Cotto by the way, that Cotto would lose money going up against Floyd. The difference with Cotto is he doesn't worry about taking Floyds, money or buys, he wants to take Floyds 0 by actually fighting him. Canelo and Oscar didn't get the memo and threw a b*tch fit when Cotto didn't affect his money in order to satisfy Canelo and Oscars lust for this "revenge" for Floyd taking Mexican dates. Go figure all Canelo had to do was actually beat Floyd and he would have had it. Instead he's resorting to relying on others star power to bring Floyd down a notch. It's sad really.
