Very unfortunate for one of America's most exciting fighters. But between stints in prison to leaving Golden Boy for 50 Cent, he's done it to himself.
    Absolutely true!!!

They better keep Cotto away from Kirkland. Cotto won't make it out of that fight standing upright.

I can't see Andy Lee being that difficulty a night out for Cotto. Stick with Lee.

Wait, so they want him to have a soft touch to stay active for Canelo in May, but now they're looking at James Kirkland for a possible PPV fight?

          Wait....what?

I wouldn't call Kirkland a duck. He isn't as feared as he was back when he was undefeated, but he is still a very dangerous fighter. I am one of those who adamantly believe that Cotto is NOT a 160 fighter. I've said it before, and I'll say it again:

"Cotto is THE 160 champion, but he is not a 160 fighter."

I'm not saying he shouldn't take on 160 fighters, but he just isn't a 160 fighter. He's tiny compared to a regular middleweight. Holding that belt, however, makes him a legitimate target to be called out by any and all middleweights.
