I mean, that fight was awesome and Rodriguez is a very good fighter. i believe he was the one who wiped out Sabillo and put up a gutsy fight to Roman. For me it's Francisco Rodriguez Jr. by a wide margin. He unified the I.B.F. and W.B.O. Minimumweight titles in a F.O.T.Y. candidate against Katsunari Takayama. I don't think it's possible to beat that.
Kell Brook's win over Shawn Porter was impressive, but not quite as good as Rodriguez Jr.'s performance IMO.
I guess Brook is winning the poll by a landslide because Welterweight is historically one of the most significant divisions in boxing, whereas nobody cares about Minimumweight,
.
I'm giving Kell a little more credit because he was the underdog who traveled and punked the champion.
He should get some love though for unifying... very rarely happens and even more so in the 105 division... even though it happened 2 years ago... but very rarelyComment

Brook was in the higher profile and more relevant fight. The WW division is the most-watched division of the sport right now, on the other hand I didn't know who Rodriguez was until I googled him and I've never seen a minimumweight fight in my life.Comment

Brook was in a more high-profile fight, but that media attention doesn't necessarily mean his performance was more impressive than that of Rodriguez.Comment

I think the problem is there's no way for some fans to even see those fights. I'd love to watch them but here in the uk there's only boxnation or sky sports. Where can you watch these fights?Comment

Kell went oversea's, boxed beautifully and utterly outclassed a guy who was being hyped as the next star of American boxing....in a fight people were giving him little chance of winning.Comment
