Rigondeaux has been hailed by boxing purists for his near flawless defensive wizardry but has also received criticism from fans who prefer to watch a brawl than a technical fight which makes his worth to a promoter somewhat difficult to project.
BoxingScene.com caught up with the two-time Olympic gold medalist to get an update on his current promotional status. Various media outlets have speculated that Rigondeaux is on the verge of signing with different promoters but Rigondeaux insists that he and his team are still weighing their options.

McDonalds trying to hire him? ESPN the Ocho has a spot? LOL
Guarantee that Rigo doesn't get more than $250 k for his next fight in the US.

Would love to see Rigo over here, that would be great, but I feel Warren will be digging himself a bigger hole than he's already in at the moment. If he was to promote him over here as a headline fighter I don't think it would work, but if he kept him in the states and promoted him properly the he could do ok out of the deal.

rigo vs santa cruz is the best fight that could be made for rigo although i would not mind seeing rigo vs nonito 2 and watching rigo box nonitos ears off again.

I think Rigondeaux ends up signing with Gary Shaw Productions with the way he has his deal setup with Bryant Jennings.

This guy deserves to get them fights, ppv main eventer? Probably not but he is the purest boxer I've seen in a long time and even past his prime I don't see him losing anytime soon. I can imagine he'll score a fair few knock outs in his upcoming fights.
