WBO/WBA junior featherweight champion Guillermo "El Chacal" Rigondeaux (14-0) has been quiet since his first round blitzkrieg of Sod Kokietgym (63-3) in July in Macau, China. Rigondeaux's promotional contract expired with Top Rank also expired after the victory.

Various media outlets have speculated that Rigondeaux is on the verge of signing with different promoters but Rigondeaux insists that he and his team are still weighing their options.
