Thing is I really do think Wilder has great chances to **** out some top boxers.

Unfortunately he has received ultra-inflated hype without really (convincingly) beating anyone very relevant.

And next would be Andre Ward.

The guy was great but he is finished now. His career has gone, the way of the dodo. He isn't beating anybody relevant now.
You keep telling that Ward's carreer is over and he's done at the end of the day maybe you will even believe it. Even if he won't fight till his contract with Goossen is live, he will be still "just" 32 (like Golovkin now, his carreer is over as well based on your logic?) when his contract is over. So chill the fuck out Elroy, he will come back and he will continue to beat your favourites.

Anyone think Bryant Jennings? I think Jennings is all around a decent boxer but he doesn't do anything that really sets him apart from the other top contenders in the division - people really seem to hype him doe. At least with Wilder, he has tremendous one-punch power that sets him apart from other guys.

Who hypes Jennings? I read this message board a lot and I never see his name.

You know who is actually overhyped?
        GGG.

And the funny thing is that Jennings' victory over Mike Perez is better than anything Gennady has done in his entire pro career. What makes it funny is that GGG turned pro shortly after Jennings started boxing. STARTED boxing.

Are you kidding me? Jennings barely beat Perez in what was a rather uninspiring performance. Golovkin has been KO'ing dudes left 'n right in impressive fashion; there's no comparison there really.

There are a bunch of people here that hype Jennings as one of the best heavyweight contenders. To me, he looks average - nothing special.

                Ward isn't overhyped at all.

                  I think Rigo is overhyped.

Biggest win is over Donaire, who I believe is on a decline.

But in all seriousness you can't know much about a fighter in only 14 fights..I don't care what he did on the amateur level.

The more fights you have the more chances you have to lose.
Give him time before you put him on a pedestal.

Yes he has skill but in boxing longevity is also key part on the proving ground.

I can't really call a guy who's promoter actively set out to hurt his career overhyped.
