I will not blame the fighters for doing dirty tactics like Calzaghe(holding Lacy left hand and hitting him) or Hatton (holding and hitting behind the head while holding), I blame the officails.

Now I understand why some American fighters do not decide to fight in the UK and visa versa.

Did anyone else notice the bad officiating? If so what did you notice?
holding and hitting behind the head?????,have you ever seen Lacy fight, only things he do are hitting behind the head

So Lacy wasn't excessively clinching or hitting low either??? 6 of one, half a dozen of the other... Joe shut out a supposedly better Lacy, now give the kudos to JC and leave it. This pointless bashing to make Lacy look less pathetic is pathetic in itself

The only time Lacy hit Joe was on the back of his head, seriously **** off with this.

I dont think you actually saw the fight or you would have seen Lacy holding on for dear life in the closing rounds. Live with the fact that America's "best" prospect was throughly beaten.

yeah theres no basis for this thread. calzaghe beat jeff lacy...no ref would have saved lacy. i'll repeat that...no ref would have saved jeff lacy, unless he dq'ed calzaghe for pushing lacy down or something.

Woah it was Lacy using his head to chin Clazaghe early on and also landing a low blow so Calzaghe had every reason to fight fire with fire

Of course. Lacy's own corner should of been more compassionate though as he was on a hiding to no-where from round 8 onwards, hopefully he ain't in too bad a way though...
