    Argentine junior welterweight contender Lucas Matthysse (35-3, 33KOs) continues to train hard in Argentina, under the orders of his coach Luis "Cuty" Barrera for his upcoming fight versus WBC silver champion Roberto Ortiz (31-0-1, 24KOs) of Mexico on September 6th. The Showtime televised fight takes place at the US Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds.

                      This is the fight for a WBC title shot again. It will probably be against Broner. Pretty sure Gift vacates to go to 144 and fight Orlando Salido on ppv.

                              The short answer is no. Ortiz is a KO artist who up until now has been facing limited opposition, this is his big chance. Some of his fights are on youtube.

                              As a Matthysse fan, fingers crossed he doesn't cop the big shot that would derail his career.

                                  Not even close. Salka was 77th ranked lightweight (who weighed in at 132 lbs his previous fight), had a record of 19-3 and no chance of hurting Garcia in the slightest with only 3 ko's. Ortiz is in the same division, ranked #5 by the WBC (he holds one of their bogus titles), he's 31-0 and has power with 24 ko's.
