Well I took a quick peek at responses and I must say some are right on and some are terribly lacking.

First of all nobody is saying floyd is tbe, thats your hate speaking right there, and why you bringing up morales barrera, ledwaba? Whats your point? And another thing, ortiz was an elite prime fighter after he beat berto, and guerrero still is an elite fighter in his prime, and pac never fought williams either after being called out numerous times by p-will..so what else you want to talk about mang?

There was nothing like that Diego Corrales fight. That was a clinic. They should use that fight in boxing instructional videos.

He had some other good fights but considering the level of opponent as well, that was definitely his sharpest performance

Boxing clinic 101:
- Make sure that your opponent is going to do a good stint in jail ..... (Diego Corrales)
- Make sure that your opponent is going to have a hard time making weight ..... (Canelo, Diego Corrales, Marquez)
- Make sure that you take away any advantages that your opponent has even before the fight starts ..... (Canelo, Maidana, ....)

I really think he's going to do the exact opposite. Maybe box for 3-4 rounds then go right to the trenches and in-fighting, probably fighting off the ropes. He doesn't have the legs to do all that moving so I think his "bag of tricks" and "Floyd is going to shock everyone" talk comes from the fact that they know Mayweather can fight well in close quarters and that will be the plan.

Why you think that?.

Floyd was moving more during the 2nd half of the fight than the first.
A fighter that "doesn't have legs" typically slows down and is dazed by shots (body shots in particular) that could previously absorb; even a 60 years old can jog for 30 minutes if nobody is hitting him .

It's not like Floyd lacks the stamina to move around the ring, his age showed in terms of output.
He did not get off first and impose his rhythm, rather, he allowed Maidana to rush in.
He was landing the cleanest shots with his counters but was being very conservative in terms of output, allowing el Chino to work.

Fighters that get off first trouble Maidana imo (Khan, Alexander, Ortiz even).
Floyd is still faster but he'd need to keep up a good rhythm with the jab and work much more than he's used to.
