    Calzaghe: unbeatable from 160 to175lbs

Suggest anyone please that can beat Calzaghe? I heard allot of people claiming Lacy had a bad night and he`ll get him in a rematch, but i expect them to say this.
Calzaghe would beat anyone from 160 to 175. Taylor, Hopkins, Tarver, Johnston.... He`d beat everyone of them and probably quite easily. I have always held Calzaghe in high regard since he beat Eubank but i hve to say near fight time i was unsure, Lacy had impressed me against Robin Reid.
But after such a performance......what do people have to say now?

There is no one in boxing in either weight that can match Joe. I hope Joe goes over to America, gets paid well and smashes Tarver to bits.

The Calzaghe we saw last night is doubtful to ever show his head again. I wanted Lacy to win but had stated on this site and others that it wouldn't be shocking in the least if Joe scored a UD.

The Calzaghe that fought last night is unbeatable from 160-175... if he shows up to fight again I'll be happy and would put up money to see it but I'm not naive' enough to fall for the tricks that so many fighters have done before.

Im not sure on who can actually win... however I feel that Kessler is next, then Jones or Tarver at a higher weight class. If Joe can beat Kessler and unify the belts in the Super Middleweight division and then move up to Light Heavy and start knocking "legends" out over in America, he has all of a sudden found himself in Roy Jones territory after being accused of lieing about injury and being prone to a KO by Jeff's non-existent left hook. All of this in the space of just 1 year, he could go from "bum" to "GOAT in 168lb division" and "HOF" when he moves up in weight and wins more belts, which I believe is within his grasp now.

So to answer the question directly, not many can beat Joe... it all depends on Joe now... only Joe will stop Joe. However, if I was to choose between Tarver, Jones and Kessler to stop Joe at this point in time, it would be Tarver.

Whatt!!!! didn`t you hear the post fight interview. Joe broke a bone in his left hand in the 4th round, he was in so much pain through out the fight, the hand is re -injured and his performance was effected. Thats why he couldn't KO Lacy. i hope Joe's hand holds up next time and that he fights better. That hand injury hindered Calzaghe so much, but i feel a fully fit Calzaghe would have haddled Lacy better!

Honestly, I am on your side of the fence here, and this post just annoyed me. He didnt cry at all, the only concern he voiced was that Joe will not turn up again like he did last night. A reasonable comment if you take into account he is now the man at 168, I think its fair to say, and has been shot into superstardom in one fight... this can create distractions and lesser the quality of training, like Gomez pointed out, it happened in other fighters in the past...

Please dont try and wind people up just for the sake of it. At least take the time to read opinions and work out the real meaning of the post.

Actually I didn't see the post fight interview, and since BS was lagging so bad due to the influx in traffic I went and ate some pizza, drank a lil', and played some cards. However, the above statement doesn't really mean much since I'm not suggesting that I wouldn't favor Calzaghe in a rematch or anything of the sorts.

I think he should move up take that belt of Clinton, hopefully Roy has a fight at the samish time and wins thus giving the fight more meaning, then Joe can beat him, then Tarver, and then retire. Yep that would be from bum to HOF in less than two years.
