Thats retarted if ANYONE takes that deal. Pacquiao was, at the time before getting ko'd, the number two guy right behind floyd. A 60/40 split with no ppv revenue or any merchandise sales, NOTHING. Its not like its just all floyd fans who are gonna buy the ppv. Pacquiao has just as much, if not, MORE FANS WORLDWIDE who would buy the fight. "In a video titled "Boxing Legend Freddie Roach Updates Us On Pacquiao" uploaded to YouTube on December 11, 2009, Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, revealed the first hint about Mayweather's request for Olympic-style drug testing, telling roving reporter Elie Seckbach, "I hear negotiations are a little shady. Schaefer and them are unhappy about something. They want Olympic-style drug testing. I said, 'Yeah, no problem.' I said, 'Whatever you want.' Since we accepted that, now they're running scared again."

On December 13, 2009, Pacquiao's adviser, Michael Koncz, said Mayweather's request for Olympic-style drug testing was a laughing matter and they had no concerns whatsoever about it. "Our reaction is, 'So what?' We know Manny doesn't take any illegal drugs or anything. And none of this is getting under Manny's skin or anything. I'm here with Manny, and to him, it's like a joke. It's a laughing matter," said Koncz.

After reports had surfaced that both parties had agreed to all terms, Golden Boy Promotions released a press release on December 22, 2009, revealing that Pacquiao was unwilling to comply with the Olympic-style drug testing requested by Team Mayweather. The following day, Bob Arum, Top Rank founder and CEO, declared the fight was off and Pacquiao would be facing a different opponent. "We appeased Mayweather by agreeing to a urine analysis at any time, and blood testing before the press conference and after the fight. Mayweather pressed for blood testing even up to the weigh-in. He knew that Manny gets freaked out when his blood gets taken and feels that it weakens him. This is just harassment and, to me, just signaled that he didn't want the fight," Arum told David Mayo of the Grand Rapids Press."

I think he's made it clear several times what he wants. But the more he talks about it without it really happening, he's just putting money in Arum's pockets.
Yes hes urging manny to sign a contract that blantantly favors floyd in almost every way. Only an idiot with not alot of fans would do that. Funny how he didnt have all these ridiculous demands for his fight with cotto. Not talking about the blood testing either.

On one end, guys say "real fighters fight" and Floyd should just give Pacquiao more but when it comes to Pacquiao then it's a business.

          Which one is it?

And for Cotto, see how easy it was to make a deal once he was free from Top Rank.

It was the same conditions. In fact, he offered Manny almost four times what Cotto ended up getting. Manny was offered a great deal relative to his worth, whether people like it or not.

They wanted the original offer which had long expired.

You forget that $40 mil is $12 mil more than manny ever made (up with the bulk of ppv revenue. So its a trade off, no ppv in exchange for the chance to make 42% more than you've ever made with the bulk of the ppv.

Whatever you put up from 2009, roach confirmed in 2013 it was Manny/arum that refused.

It is what it is, just please acknowledge who has turned the fight down twice.

50/50? WHY ARE PACQUIAO'S PURSES A FRACTION OF WHAT MAYWEATHER GETS?
              By Ben Thompson | January 26, 2012

"According to those figures, Manny Pacquiao's officially reported purses have been, on average, roughly half of what Floyd Mayweather has been getting. Although the documents do not disclose revenue also generated from pay-per-view upside, it's extremely doubtful that Pacquiao is getting significantly more than Mayweather in that department, especially considering that they both do similar numbers and in Pacquiao's case, Top Rank retains 27.5%. While I personally believe the subject of a 50/50 split is irrelevant, mainly because Bob Arum was never interested in staging the fight on May 5 to begin with, given those numbers, it's understandable why Mayweather might allegedly inform Pacquiao that a $40 million guarantee would be significantly more money than he's been currently making."

Recently, John Chavez of TheBoxingTruth.com contacted the Nevada State Athletic Commission to acquire the reported purse amounts of both Floyd

I dont wanna hear that bs that cotto had to leave top rank to get a fight. Mayweather should have fought cotto instead of retiring after his ricky hatton fight. He didnt have problems working with arum then. thats just another
                F L O M O excuse.

Wow floyd wouldve made more money that hes ever made too. Over 300 million projected ppv sales. Thats alot of ppv revenue. Like I said, only an idiot would take that deal. also, he rejected the blood testing one in 2009 cuz floyd wanted to test up to the date of the weigh in, witch is a no no cuz he wasnt doing that himself it was just for pacquiao. Manny did however agree to take the test RIGHT AFTER THE FIGHT. Next excuse floydiots.

YOu are lying, they both would have been tested up to the fight.

Lie about what happened and then calling me a floydiot doesn't change the truth dude.
