Andre Ward is under contract until Nov. 8, 2016

    http://******.craveonline.com/news/3...ith-andre-ward
No wonder he is trying to get out now. Are there any fights that have been even offered by Goosen?

Can he sue if he is not offered a fight from now until then?

I don't know but it seems kind of wrong for the guy to be sitting on the shelf like this. Is there a minimum number of fights he should have per year in his contract?

He needs to get rid of his current adviser and call up Haymon because he is about to sign Chavez Jr. next year.

    12. The Commission finds that Ward suffered a shoulder injury in NQvember 2012, and that he was unable arid/or unwilling to fight again until November 16,2013, when he accepted the Rodriguez fight. Therefore, (12) twelve months shall be added to the agreement. In addition, based upon the e-mail communications between Ward's manager and Dan Goossen, and the
direct and uncontroverted testimony ofDan Goossen, the Commission finds that Ward was uncooperative with GTP. According to Dan Goossen's testimony, from late December 2013, after Ward filed his civil lawsuit against GTP, Ward refused to cooperate with GTP's promotional efforts to contract a future fight. Based thereon, the Commission finds that from December 2013
through April9, 2014, the date ofGoossen's testimony and the date ofthis arbitration, Ward was uncooperative with GTP. Therefore the Commission adds an additional four months to the promotional agreement, for a total of 16 months.

He sued and lost. Really nothing stopping him from taking a fight as far as I know.

That's his own fault. It was 2015 but they extended it because of the lawsuit.

How could they add more time to his contract if he was injured (did he get any kind of money during that time)?

Fight out the damn contract Andre and then you're a free man. It's not like you're gonna be getting chump change either. $1,750,000 min per fight is not bad.

That's normal especially if a fighter is injured. That is just to cover the period of time of a fighters inactivity. Ward really needs to fight himself out of his contract, the more he sits the more his months and years gets extended as per his contract.

I'm baffled why he doesn't fight either. Either he just flat out refuses to fight for goosen because he doesn't want him making a dollar off him , or his demands to fight guys like Rodriguez are too high and economically unfeasible.

Andre Ward is a ****in clown. At this point I hope he loses his next fight. He's sitting here wasting his career fighting with a promoter, who not only got him into the Super Six, but got him all home fights. Before the Super Six Ward was a nobody, notthing more than an Olympic medalist who had looked mediocre since then. He had the worst odds to win the tourney if I recall also.

He deserves to falter forr biting the hand that fed him. I'm done supporting him. His **** he played with avoiding fightING Dirrell or Hopkins also irritates me. I don't have time to support boring fighters who are also divas on top of that.
