Khan is genuinely the most overrated fighter ever, he has never beaten a world class fighter in their prime. Thurman would annihilate him because Khan would get macho to try and prove a point.

I love how the Maidana fight is brought up in every Khan debate as if he beat a prime, top of his game Maidana like the one we see today. He beat a pudgy, under motivated fighter that hadn't hit his peak yet and didn't have the world class trainer that he has today. If they fought now it would be completely different and everyone, even the Khan fans, know it.

I think it'd be same as Khan vs Maidana with the exception of Khan ending him early by a bodyshot, everyone picking Thurman to KO Khan but I believe that'd not be the case in the real fight.

Difference is Thurman is not slow like Maidana is taller, bigger and can actually stand and box
