Although I think Mayweather is a ducker who has avoided fights (see Margarito, Winky Wright, Pacquiao). I completely disagree with Mayweather being a boring fighter. E. Lara is a boring fighter who runs away. Mayweather boxes and actually let's his hand go (I won't say hands because he doesn't throw combinations much lol)

I love how people say when fighters don't hit Lara much they are not using effective aggression but they also don't say that running away is not ring generalship...

Lara's running away = not ring generalship

Mayweather's boxing and shoulder rolling = ring generalship

If you want to see fighters who have no defensive skill slug it out... then you're not really watching high quality boxing... you're just looking for brutality... although there have been some high level brawling like Diego C. and Castillo but that's very rare...

Canelo v. Kirkland right now is not as exciting as a Thurman fight would be because Thurman is actively KOing guys and hasn't lost...

Ducked hatton in 2005 at light welterweight, ducked margarito in 2006 at welterweight, ducked cotto at the end of 2007 beginning 2008 at welterweight. Keeps ducking pacquiao

how the hell do you duck somebody you fought. mayweather beat hatton when they both were undefeated and it was one of the best hyped ppv fights ever. he beat cotto while cotto was champion at 154. he made 32 million dollars doing it. he and cotto made more money fighting in 2012 then they would have made in 2008. and can you name somebody margarito has beaten? cause I guarantee you everytime you saw maragarito fight he lost.


nobody says sugar ray ducked hagler. why? because they eventually fought. nobody brings up the fact that sugar ray waited years too fight hagler even though that's exactly what he did. so the fact that Floyd beat cotto and hatton later than you would have liked, still don't change the fact that Floyd beat them.

Maidana isn't very good. He is a slow limited brawler with half decent boxing ability. He is just slightly better than guerrero and rios. Plus he hasn't changed much at all since his fight with Alexander and is definitely past prime and war torn too.

Only reason maidana did good against Floyd is because Floyd struggles against pressure fighters who throw from awkward and weird angles which is why he avoided pacquiao.

Floyd's fights are the least exciting out of all the fight parties we have. Yeah, he's really good but it gets boring after a few rds. And it's not like he's gonna ko somebody either so what u see after the first few rds is what you're gonna get for the rest of the fight.
