    True.

Honestly, I just watched the first couple of minutes of the vid which made me post what I did.

As you point out in your other thread, Ward is quite a talent, except for power. If you wanna know what I think, then I'd say that Ward's footwork is speedy and his timing and off-beat punching is what makes his offense effective. I'm not going into the rough-housing. People know my position on that pretty well I think.

I agree, great points...especially the one about the off-beat punching.

I used to think about his roughhousing tactics, but what is roughhousing really and what is the sport of boxing? I think the two go hand in hand as long as they lead to clean blows.

Well I think that there are rules in the sport, and they should be enforced.

Some infractions are worse than others though.

It's like this though. He clinches but he punches in the clinch. Now guys like Wlad and Khan - they do it to avoid punches, Ward does it with the intent to hit you, these guys do it with the intent to stop all action and avoid punishment cause of their fragile chins.

Imagine Wlad doesn't hold. He'll have a bunch of losses to guys who aren't even in his league cause his is so utterly **** on the inside. Meanwhile Khan's chin has as much resistance as a paper plate.

Actually, yes Donaire is a much better win than any of Ward's wins. If you disagree then tell me who on Ward's resume is better than Donaire? As far as Floyd goes, I disagree with the other guy. Simply because Floyd has beaten MORE opponents of Donaire's caliber.

I think if you agree that styles make fights and don't buy into triangle theories you have to put Ward over Rigo. He has the one big fight against Donaire but Ward has outclassed a lot more high quality opponents. Rigo may be better but I need to see him in there with other top fighters that show him different looks. With Floyd its not even close. He has been doing this for 17 or 18 years. How many guys that looked like the next big thing have come and gone during that time?

That's why I like ward and also bhop. They clinch to disrupt the opponent and hit them. Not because they don't know how to fight on the inside.

The only time clinch and hitting becomes intolerable for me is if they are throwing low blows, rabbit punches and headbutts. So I'm kind of on the fence half the time with ward and bhop

How can that be when Rigo only beat a "ducker and an over rated bum" in Donaire? Idiot! Or does it depends on your agenda?
