A lot of people are ducking Keith Thurman.

Everybody wants big fights. What you said isn't right though. Fighting dangerous opponents isn't to make somebody 'relevant', any top 10 fighter who goes into a fight thinking they are there to make the opponent relevant rather than win the fight isn't going far in boxing.
The guys who are turning down a fight with Thurman aren't superstars themselves. They simply want to fight easier guys.Comment

Thurman is talented so his time will probably come and then he'll become the hunted instead of the hunter. Then I'll come find you guys and ask why he's ducking the young guy coming up to face more relevant people.Comment

You're ****ting me right? Anyone with a pulse, and that shows even a semi ability to be kind of on the world class level has a built in following.Comment

And I can assure you Thurman won't be ducking anyone, not the way the likes of Maidana, Guerrero etc have ducked Thurman anyway. For example ducking Thurman and fighting Soto Karass, does that make sense to you? Karass was slightly more well known at the time, but which win would've been more impressive for Maidana? Kamegaei or Thurman, which would've been a more impressive win for Guerrero?Comment

Once Thurman becomes relevant, he'll start picking and choosing his fights too because he'll have the power to do so. Right now he doesn't have the power or the money so obviously he wants to fight the world.Ducking him is what's best for their careers ma man.

Again, I don't think Thurman will duck anyone the way other fighters are doing in boxing, he may take the odd soft touch, but his attitude is different to most of today's fighters.
I understand why people are ducking him, but the the point is they ARE ducking him.Comment
