If Figueroa is struggling to make 135 then he should move up in weight. Didn't someone say he was 155 lbs. on fight night against Estrada? It looks like he wants to stay at 135 at all costs to keep fighting smaller guys. That's generally what limited fighters do to compensate for their lack of skills (Chavez, Angulo, Rios).

Says the sanctioning body wants to do an analysis to make sure he's not putting himself in danger to make weight...

Since when did they do that?

omar figeuroa just isn't very good. he does have power, but his delivery system is usually flawed. he's pretty easy to hit, too.

He'd be a guppy in deep shark infested waters. This is a smart move. Wait a year.

                His defence is absolutely horrendous.

It looks that after seeing how Garcia picked a 135 # fighter as Salka, Figueroa decided to stay in order to be considered but ooops the only problems is that Omar is ranked high in the LW division and that probably would be a deterrent to be picked by Garcia (it only Omar were ranked 70 or lower his chances would be much better).
