The fight will be boring if Maidana isn't allowed to blatantly break the rules? You think a fighter being allowed to get away with throwing intentional rabbit punches and low blows is what makes the sport entertaining? I beg to differ. The rules being adhered to actually makes a fight more entertaining to most of us BOXING FANS.Comment

I'm not sure that Maidana was even trying to be sneaky or clever. He was quite blatant. In the first minute of the first round he wrapped is right arm around the back of Mayweather's head and threw about five punches with his left right in front of the referee's face. The ref just didn't react. That's not cleverness that's just lax refereeing. They are both clever AT getting away with a limited amount of nastiness, hardly anything new in fights i have seen...if both are doing their "thing" they should be left alone by the ref,and left to fight through, better for us fans, and neither should be penalized.....except for bi{t}chin'..the less we see of the ref...the better.Comment
