Man you have got to stop crying so much. Maidana, the subject of the thread, has no reason to complain. Gatti and Mosley are not being discussed.

Youre argument is that Floyd's illegal or dirty tactics are justified because Marcos is dirty. The man sighted two examples of fights with Floyd where he was the only dirty fighter. Youre dismissal is ignorance.

Well, you see the Mayweathers moaning about Maidana being dirty and the ref, and they already told the media that the refereeing will more or less be Mayweather approved, so yeah man the fight itself has the potential to be a real borefest compared to the first fight. Plus the gloves will be floyd approved, so

who picks the ref?...hopefully not the boxer with the most money...is he chosen by an independent party?..some refs have ego and won't be swayed by public opinion...and the gloves?...as long as maidaina is training with the gloves he has...and is allowed to use them..he should do o-k...but don't take the skates from the hockey player! lol

Dude if you really believe that Mayweather using his forearm is a equal infraction to Maidana's headbutts, intentional rabbit punches, intentional low blows, throwing a knee and tackling then you are not a true boxing fan. The way that Maidana b. aks the rules, if allowed, causes the sport to lose it's form and become something that no real boxing fan would pay to see. If every fight were allowed to devolve into a spree of illegal punches, headbutts and take downs no one would want to watch anymore.. Mayweather putting his forearm in his opponents face only frustrates his opponent. It doesn't change the entire nature of the sport like Maidana's tactics do.

If the ref let both those guys fight their fight, so be it. Maidana didn't claim to be as slick and crafty as Mayweather, so honestly what did any Floyd fan expect, for him to get outclassed like alvarez and guerrero?, and Maidana must have been doing more than just fighting dirty, because enough people had the fight a draw, and even Floyd admits the fans want to see it again, hence the rematch.

The fight will be boring if Maidana isn't allowed to blatantly break the rules? You think a fighter being allowed to get away with throwing intentional rabbit punches and low blows is what makes the sport entertaining? I beg to differ. The rules being adhered to actually makes a fight more entertaining to most of us BOXING FANS.

I'm not sure that Maidana was even trying to be sneaky or clever. He was quite blatant. In the first minute of the first round he wrapped is right arm around the back of Mayweather's head and threw about five punches with his left right in front of the referee's face. The ref just didn't react. That's not cleverness that's just lax refereeing.

i've seen many a fight...i'm 51,been watching boxing for close to 40 of those years...its not new..you better get used to it.and its normal,natural,tactical...you better get used to it.

He only told half the story though. Yes he uses the forearm/elbow to create space, but he also uses the free hand to land a body or head shot. Thats as bad as holding and hitting in my book, but its a veteran tactic I know.
