He also has better timing and is a more durable. He's a complete fighter.
In regards to durability, I reckon Khan has lasted 12 rounds more than Brook, certainly at a higher level. Brook, if I recall was gassed against Jones. Maybe he over worked himself in the beginning but still not really tested. Against Porter, he was clinching a lot and selective with his punches, so can't really comment if he is durable.

Whilst he has good timing, Porter was going gung ho the whole fight and was open to every attack as he kept on reaching forward and with a inferior reach, didn't really see him dazed or stunned. Could be different with Khan regardless.

It could be a close fight, Khan does have the better, speed and footwork, and rarely is outboxed unless koed, with his speed maybe harder for Brook to time.

When I spoke to some casual boxing fan friends of mine about this fight, not one of them seemed to know even who Shawn Porter was, let alone anyone else on the card.

Seriously? You're going to pretend Khan isn't vulnerable? That's a difficult sell. And... higher level? Forgive me, I thought it was Breidis Prescott that KO'd him in 54 seconds. Get real!

Khan's got skills but you come across as a chump if you don't honestly weigh those up against his obvious flaws. He's very talented and looks good in the ring as long as nobody land a solid shot on his chin. His footwork has always looked suspect to me though. it's fast, but he over commits and often looks off balance. 80% of his game is spectacular, the other part is awful. Brook looks like a much more complete fighter.

Yes, they're bad numbers but are they REALLY bad numbers? Porter is not a draw by any means and neither is Brook. I think in the end, they're ok numbers. I think those numbers would go up for Brook if he fought in the US again. But he cant go too long without fighting here cause people will forget who he is.

This fight was an investment for Showtime. Kell Brook has to build his name in the United States, this is a start. Showtime should definitely NOT look at the ratings as a failure or look at them in the short-term. Kell Brook needs another big win on Showtime, and will start bringing in U.S. viewers.

Of course this was a flop, the whole card ****** and Kell Brook ruined the show, fighting like a sissy girl with his constant holding. Just listen to the crowd, they were booing the main event and left in disgust and I don't blame them, I would of demanded a full refund if I was there that night. The Danny Garcia vs Rod Salka fight did better than Porter vs Brook because of the Puerto Ricans obviously, they will always support Danny and their fighters no matter what. Even the Gabe Rosado vs Brian Vera BKB fight was vastly exciting, entertaining and more of a legit boxing match than that awful hug-fest last Saturday night. Showtime didn't do themselves any favors either with their bias of Brook, the ref's favoritism of Brook and no highlights of Porter. I'll give Brook this though, he's an amazing wrestler, I can see him having major success with the WWE or MMA/UFC.

They're horrible numbers. Porter did better against Paulie, and the people who watched that fight should have stuck around. A lot of them leaving is bad.

                    Black fighters don't sell.

I've said for years, the black fan base is non existent, and there mostly all bandwagon fans anyway. These dudes aint loyal.

Where all them broner fans go?
