Porter will never have a large fan base due to his style being that of a welterweight John Ruiz......simple and plain....A lot of wins Porter got and will get in the future will be against opponents who become ill in the ring from the sloppy-rabbit punching/headfirst style that he imposes. After following him for years and seeing him train at the Mayweather gym I though Porter was someone who could evolve out of this ugly style of fighting and 'tune up' his distance game - not the case as I believe that he's peaked-out as a fighter. When you hit a certain level of competition, there lies opponents who are capable of adjusting....Therefore nothing but props to Brook for the way he studied, adjusted then came out victorious!.....
    BROOK Vs. KHAN please....

      Um isn't today the 19th????

Any who. 2 relatively unknown boxers in the main event with 2 unknown boxers in the co main event. Shouldn't have been hard to foresee. Plus I saw no promotion for this besides boxing sites and YouTube.

          F*** no.
He will though. What other options does Khan have? He either fights a nobody and gets dissed like Garcia has recently, or he fights a different credible opponent and gets KO'd. Khan honestly (and incorrectly) believes he can beat Brook, so he'll take what Brook offers.

Sounds like somebody doesn't like being on the losing side.... and, they crown weren't booing Brook, they were booing Porter for rabbit punching.

"Incorrectly" believes, has it happened? How do you know it is incorrect, gtfo with that logic. So I guess you thought Brook incorrectly believed he could beat Porter last week.

Not surprised, although porter was very active throughout, the constant clinching and hugging was such a turn off, was a snooze.

I hate these matches, where the counter punchers are so parsimonious with the counters yet they pinch the round each time, thats why you have to respect guys like marquez,

Worrying that boxing numbers are down.

Also scary - this card cost like $2m - of which more than half went on Dirrell-Bika 2

I say "incorrectly believes" because Khan is very unrealistic IMO, and the opinion of many others. When Khan analyses his own skill set, he doesn't ever account for his shortcomings. He has amazing gifts in terms of speed & agility, but he isn't durable and therefore isn't the complete package. Brook, while not as quick, lands much more meaningful punches: accurate and powerful. He also has better timing and is a more durable. He's a complete fighter.

What were the figures for Brook vs Porter in the UK? It's not Showtime, but they should count -- the Brits also have advertising on TV, I trust.
