It was a great fight for boxing fans, not so much for casuals. Fighters like Khan have been groomed for many years to be a household name. He's a branded product. Eddie Hearn has to now do that same thing for Brook to generate the viewing numbers that will lead to the big paydays.

Brook's in a much better position than most US boxers because he's not caught up in the Arum/GBP bullhsit. He can fight anyone. Hearn's shaping up as a great promoter too, so I think the numbers are just a matter of time.

The only person you can blame is Kell Brook for these low numbers

The crowed booed him numerous times for excessive holding. People came to see a fight, not some guy hugging for half the fight

Nobody cared cause they didn't know who the hell kell brook was and after they watched him fight they probably care even less.

The average casual fan couldnt pick out who Brook and Porter was if they were both in a lineup with only 3 people.

I hate to say it but you guys are both right.

The fights last week were meaningful to the hardcore boxing fans but the casuals had no clue who they were watching or why the bouts were important.

On top of that you had Bika stinking out the joint again like he usually does and the main event was ugly to watch as well.

LOL. Further reason why we shouldn't be surprised. People who are on here every day don't even know the guys name so how would you expect Mike from across the street to know who he is?
