that's arguable. provodnikov beat the crap out of top ten ranked and top welterweight timothy bradley (if the right calls were made he could have won), and he beat alvarado who is better than a past prime/shot malignaggi.

I think you would be in the minority with that opinion. Brook is a hot property at the moment especially in the UK.

He's a bigger draw than Chino.

No, I'm not in the minority. The largest crowd he's pulled in the UK is 10k, and a good proportion of those fans were Manc's there to support Matthew Hatton. Until this w/e only a handful of people in the US knew of him. Chino has fought the likes of Khan, Ortiz & Mayflower, has an Argentinian following and strong Mexican support. Many more people know of him whereas Kell is just making his mark internationally.

A UK domestic bout between Brook/Khan will do well, but is probably not a Wembley filler (yet).

We'll see. I just made a poll thread.

On top of everything else Brook has a belt while Maidana didn't when he got his 1.5M

Just on that alone you have to figure that he would get paid more.

Pulling out the big guns, heh? Well, assuming I win the poll, I'll disregard it. It doesn't matter what a few people think in a forum, it only matters who buys the fights.

You claimed I was wrong for say Maidana brings more to the table. Now you're changing the point to say you figure Kell's worth more.

Having a belt might help Hearn's negotiations for Kell, but it doesn't guarantee him much. The only thing that matters are PPV buys. Maidana has PPV credibility in the US whereas Kell is a relatively unknown quantity to US boxing fans.

I'm not saying he won't be a star. I think he will. He's definitely on the ascendancy. You're just wishful thinking about what he may become as opposed to the current reality.

Brook brings the UK audience which is attractive to PPV distributors. Maidana's Argentine following isn't in the same league.

My guess is that Kell Brook is going to have a soft opponent for his first title defense. It just doesn't make sense to throw him in to the wolves rght away, especiallly with the cut he suffered.

2015 is when the good sht begins. Khan early 2015 and then Mayweather or Pacquiao if he gets pass Amir. I hope Kell stays a matchroom fighter, Bob Arum better not pull a multiple fight deal in order to fight a TR fighter bullsht.

                  Brook/khan sells out Wembley cuz Kell is champ & a real deal not a pretender....wait & c...

I agree that it will, just not yet. Froch/Groves 2 was unusual & not the norm.... "biggest fight in the last 2 years"! It takes time & hard work for Hearn to build & market a fight like that.
