It is a very difficult job, and English is one of the hardest languages to translate to.
Can we get GBP aware that they need spanish translators?

"pienso que fue una pelea muy aguerrida. Dimos todo lo que teníamos y Gracias a Dios pudimos sacar la victoria. Estoy feliz con mi equipo y ahora estamos listos para cualquier pelea que nos pongan"
Direct translation:
"I think it was a very rugged fight. We gave everything we had and thank God we were able to pull of the victory. I'm very happy with my team and now we are ready for any fight they put in front of us."
Shotime/HBO translator:
"He said it was a very easy fight. He thanks God he won because he trained so hard and worked so hard, countless hours in the gym. He is ready to beat down the best of the best and it doesn't matter who they get him in with, he will take their soul."
wtf? I swear I feel like hiding my face whenever the translator begins to do his "job". It's plain out embarrassing.Comment

They're all terrible. It's like the game of "telephone" that you'd play as a kid where you'd whisper a phrase into someones ear and it'd get passed around and in the end the phrase would be nothing like the original.
Even during Maidana's short interview on Showtime this past Saturday Brian Kenny would ask a question, the translator would ask the wrong question to Maidana, who would then answer that wrong question, and then the translator would translate what Maidana said to Brian Kenny, of course, also wrong.Comment

On twitter or something, heres the most recent proof if you need some convincing.
Just read the headlines for
"Marcos: What will Mayweather do, move more?"
Thats not what Maidana said, its off .
Just check out the actual interview, at 2:05
But in general, can they just get a pro to do the translations, instead of grabbing someone with broken spanish butcher the translation.
Would also help Non spanish fans get a better, and more accurate portrait of the fighter.
Something minor , but even the guy from the HBO interviews, Dejesus i think is his name, that guys spanish has gotten worst, lol wtf?Comment
