With Abner Mares signing with Al Haymon the other day it's pretty obvious that the goal is for Leo Santa Cruz and Abner Mares to fight.

If Santa Cruz doesn't fight Rigondeaux before he moves up to 126 I sure hope he fights Scott Quigg and/or Carl Frampton.

If Santa Cruz fights Quigg and/or Frampton and Mares within his next 4 fights, I think that's a pretty nice alternative to Santa Cruz vs. Rigondeaux, and most fans would definitely be satisfied.

If he doesn't fight at least two of Quigg/Frampton/Mares within his next 4 fights then his credibility will be tarnished.

What!!!! What the hell are you saying! Low reward fighting Rigondeaux? What do you think Leo Santa Cruz will earn against his sparring partner in his next fight on september?

          Give me another excuse!

I want Frampton vs Leo winner fights Mares. If it's Frampton vs Mares I might just have a heart attack. Anyway Leo is looking ****** right now but I agree. If he lands Quigg,Frampton/Kiko or Mares in his next couple of fights than it is a good alternative for Rigo.

We all know Rigo would most likely whoop him but the reason most fans are urging this fight is because let's be honest… Rigo is no spring chicken and other that Nonito Donaire's name his resume isn't too solid. He needs the fights he deserves as well as the spoils of victory as soon as possible, his age isn't waiting for him.

Leo needs to stop bluffing and fight an actual threat. All this bs needs to stop. Calling out a fighter one minute and then hiding behind your promoter and manager is a joke. He is no longer a prospect, in fact he is a World Champion and should conduct himself as such.

Who knows what Mares wants to do. He signed with Haymon, but then he's saying he'd rematch Jhonny Gonzalez, then he's saying he want's in the Top Rank tourney with Donaire, Gradovich, Walters, and all those guys.

If I remember GB put some money to get the fight between Rigo & Mares but it was Arum who didn't accept the terms (Showtime vs. HBO). There are many other fights that haven't concretized due to the "cold war" (Floyd-Pacquiao should be first in the list). Since Rigo ended his contract with Arum, it may be possible to get some fights that were not possible in the past.

LSC is ducking. He just said he is not afraid but his team is afraid of Rigo, and now he will move up. Leo shouldn;t be afraid. GB can buy a judge like he did with Canelo.

He should just move up already I think he's just wasting his time at 122.
