I hate the fact that Broner and Matthysse aren't fighting eachother but I have to admit I actually like the Broner card. Berto will never be a great fighter but I have never seen him in a bad fight. For an opening bout of a tripleheader, as long as it's fun I'm happy. Matthysse-Ortiz, I expect Matthysse to win but I don't think it will be as easy as some think. I said the same thing against Molina. Lucas gets hit so powerful guys with high punch outputs can hurt Matthysse. I've watched Ortiz, he looks decent and has a very high workrate. For as long as it lasts I expect fireworks in that one. Broner-Taylor isn't too bad. Taylor is an underrated fighter, watch his fights. He just beat Mayfield who is a good fighter and even in his losses he didn't look that bad. I thought he lost to Algeri but I don't think it was the blowout the cards indicated. I think that fight could be competitive.

I hear ya, man and think that is a better overall card than Garcia-Salka. However it is a typical Haymon card where you see his fighters in basically meaningless fights instead of against each other. With that stable we should be treated awesome fights but rarely we ever get them. The fact that Showtime pays those fees for such mismatches is the real problem and what will perpetuate it. But hey, "Boxing is a business" right?

Don't really care who Berto fights in his first couple fights back. The dude has got stopped like 3 straight and had surgery. One thing about Berto is he puts on a good fight win or lose. I hope he gets back to competitive level to see him in there with some names at 147. Maybe Garcia or Matthysse when they move up.

That's how I feel.. Berto is on such a bad streak, that he doesn't deserve any big fights, I got no problem with him taking this fight on an undercard.. If he was an undefeated unified champ then yeah I would be hating on this matchup

Berto is so overrated...not sure how he has been able to have had a decent career fighting a list of nobodies.... his losses were too b level players and he was dominated in those performances. Not a fan of berto.
