For years, it was Amir Khan standing on top of the British 140/147 scene and looking down at his domestic rival Kell Brook. The positioning may have switched on Saturday night at the StubHub Center in Carson, when Brook captured the IBF welterweight title with a career-defining victory over previously undefeated Shawn Porter.

Brook (33-0, 22KOs), and his promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport, are very interested in doing the fight with Khan. When fight discussions were mentioned, it was Khan who was calling the shots and controlling the scenario of where and when the fight would take place - but now Hearn says Brook is the man in command of the talks.

Brook isn't really "calling the shots". Amir Khan is still a bigger name than Kell Brook.

This is just posturing from Hearn. He knows there realistically isn't a bigger fight out there for Brook.

Both guys will probably have to make compromises to get the fight made.

Is this a fight they are looking to do at the end of this year or next summer? If it's the end of this year, that would be a good fight, but if for next summer, I think Khan fights Alexander or Guerrero this winter and then goes to Mayweather in May instead.

Bit of an exageration. dont think kells team will be calling any shots. the sport is governed by money. Khan from the two still makes the greater revenue and has the larger fanbase from the 2. Titles dont mean s*** when money is involed.
