boxing has been going this way for a long time, i cant remember a ref taking points for holding, so it is something that has to be looked at when the refs are trained. Having said that brook fought to the ref and was the only one landing anything legal and clean, when a dirty brawler starts moaning during a fight they know their down on the scores. Had brook up by at least 4, the only way porter won any rounds was through aggression only.

To be fair, both fighters were fouling and to say that Brook did nothing wrong is BS. This ref should have sternly warned and deducted a point from both fighters if necessary. Porter was guilty all night for hitting in the back of the head in clinches and Brook was just as guilty for holding all night. Disappointed the ref did nothing about excessive fouling on both of their part.

Other than that it was a good fight which I though Brook did enough to win and I was actually going for Porter but I found the decision to be fair (except 114-114, what was he smoking?)

Your guy wasn't able to box? lol. Running into the opponents chest head first and throwing flailing punches, many of which landed on the back of the opposition's head is how your fighter boxes? What about the times when Porter lunged straight into Brook's jab or right hand? Or those 3 punch combinations he landed with authority during the mid to late rounds...by the challenger?!

You can't complain about dirty tactics when your own fighter was constantly landing rabbit punches. Porter put on a great attempt to retain his title but having no back up plans will always cost him a fight, especially against fighters whom render his aggressiveness useless.

Porter was somewhat successful early up until Brook got comfortable and began timing Porter's assault. Sure he cut the distance with twitchy movement but once he cut the distance Porter would lung in with his head lol. His head would actually get tagged first before his punch would even come close to landing. If that's not bull rushing I don't know what is. Porter reminds me of a bigger Frankie Gomez, similar mauling and explosive style. Anyway good luck to team Porter, Brook won doe!
