Wilder has 1 semi meaningful name on his resume Malik Scott, and he just seems a complete quitter. He needs someone that can actually take a shot and fight back before going into a world title.

Not that I think Stiverne is good either, just his last two fights are better quality then Wilders entire fight history.

We shall see I suppose..

Ideally a bridge to the Stiverne fight would be someone like Dominick Guinn or Tony Thompson. They are past being dangerous but could give Wilder some much needed rounds and a step up in class.

Im sure Haye or either Klit would of ko'd all of Wilders opponents. None are really none for iron chins lol..

Chagaev, Chisora, Tarver, ha even Oliver McCall would of been much much better prep. He just needs better opponents, 10rnds in his last 4 fights lol, its not really prep for a world title shot.

But with that all said and done he still has a great chance, Stiverne isnt a world class fighter at all.

I've been a huge Wilder supporter from the get-go and have seen him improve somewhat from several years ago, but watching him last night, I'm sure Stiverne makes easy work of him.

Wilder looked way one dimensional as he was tagged repeatedly by the much smaller Gavern. As I stated earlier, he doesn't have much of an 'inside game' as well. If you watch the fight, Gavern gets in close in the 1st or 2nd round and Wilder is flustered.

In contrast, Stiverne is natural counter puncher and thrives on reacting and fighting on the inside. He's gonna have a field day with Deontay; he's gonna lay back and counter him all night until he lands one of those bombs that he landed on Arreola earlier this year.

Wilder's team has really done a disservice by matching him up with such weak opposition his whole career. I maybe wrong in my assessment; we'll see...

Thompson yes but im not so sure about Guinn. The guy is shot for years and was never really good to begin with. I doubt he would last more than 4 rounds.

Guinn has never been stopped,I believe that was the point Scott was trying to put across,the fact he needs round tuition beyond the fourth.

Wilder has to stay long range, throw a high volume of punches from angles and crack Stiverne early, drop him in the first or second round.

If Stiverne survives the early rounds, he's going to get into his rhythm and start timing and countering Wilder just like he did with Arreola.

I honestly hope wilder knocks stiverne out. I want to see Wlad vs wilder...it will look like Lewis vs. grant all over again..wilder will be sprawled all over the canvas about 5 times in 2 rounds lol.
