I think Kell Brook won the fight but I want to give Porter some credit. Now he is being trashed and dismissed as being a bum, wild and amateurish and that is what NSB often does to fighters who lose. I still think Porter can be an effective fighter and beat many other fighters at welterweight.

Kell Brook is better than what people who hadn't watched him much, thought. He has speed, coolness and precision. But I think Porter could still be effective against a lot of other fighters. Although Porter appears to swing wildly. I think there is more calculation in his bull rushes than it seems. With his quickness and power and the volume of his punches, something will get in on a lot of guys. He didn't connect too solidly on Brook to the head but he was close. I think if there were a rematch, he could make adjustments.

Styles make fights and just because you lose to one opponent doesnt mean you'd lose to another. Kell Handled Wild aggression and Pressure Like a Pro.. Who knows if a 40 Year Old JMM Could do that. Kell is also a bigger Man than JMM and is Probably a step quicker than Marquez. Thats a competative fight IMO.

I completely agree. If there was a rematch we should get a better ref. one which doesn't allow rabbit punches or headbutts all night long.

Porter did not win, I was leaning towards Porter before the fight, but he lost guys. Kell had the patience and you have to hold aggressive fighters to reset them. Porters style is the war of attrition, he tries to grind you into dust. I do think Brook could have done more, but this was his first title fight and he was in a different country. Kell was constantly hurting porter, giving the basic one two (fundamentals of boxing). I think Porters dad Kenny will think twice with letting Brook's team watch him spar - His team picked up on certain movements that porter does to attack, avoid the jab, and his overall generalship - bad and arrogant move by Team Porter -

He had no control of his energy, he was too pumped up and didn't channel his energy in the right way, Brook was very calm even doe there was an relentless onslaught of pressure.

Brook won the jab threw porter off in the begining an out came the counters in the later rounds yes brook was holding alot but lunging into him after a combo ever single time wasnt workin gotta change it up make the changes you have to to win porter didnt do that.

Brook won but its wasnt dominating. He won on cleaner shots and ring generalship. Porter created a new style last night. Dont even know what to call what he did. He made Mayorga look like a technical boxer with his style.

I think once Porter gets time to sit down and watch the fight he'll understand that the only thing wrong with the decision was that it was SUPPOSE to be a UD for Brook and not some corny MD....Porter need a couple of days to come back to earth, Brook took him to another planet and boxed the ish outta him....just give Showtime some time to get his mind right

I find ironic that guys are suddenly trashing Porter, now that Brook got the W. That's NSB for ya. Lol

Was thinking the same! Brook never really looked tired. I think that also played a huge part in brook taking over later on.
